The technical precision shaping the Bosque Real single-family home in Valladolid.
At Tarimatec, we believe that an architectural project is only as good as the technical execution behind it. Today, we want to shine a light on the role of the technical architect—a key figure who ensures that design becomes a reality with quality and rigor.
On this occasion, we interviewed Virginia Muñoz, building surveyor and technical architect responsible for the execution of the Bosque Real single-family home in Valladolid. This project, designed by Daar Arquitectura, perfectly integrates Tarimatec’s profiles and technical solutions.

1. What does it mean to you that Tarimatec highlights the technical work in every project?
It’s a bold and necessary step. Technical work is not just a formality; it’s an essential part of the final outcome. Without solid technical criteria, no project can succeed. To me, it’s a way to honor a quiet but indispensable role: turning the idea into reality without losing its essence.
2. What was the biggest technical challenge when installing Tarimatec profiles on this project?
The geometry of the space was complex. Choosing the right fixing system, respecting the expansion joints, and addressing unique finishing details were key. We worked closely with the installation team to ensure stability, aesthetics, and durability.
3. What technical advantages would you highlight about the Tarimatec system?
It is a highly stable and versatile technical system. It allows for clean and precise installation. Additionally, it facilitates long-term maintenance, even in demanding projects. And very importantly, it offers well-thought-out constructive solutions, which greatly ease our work.
4. How was the coordination with the architects, installers, and construction team?
It was a true example of coordination. From the very beginning, everyone was clear that the goal was a rigorous execution. We made decisions together, and that shows in the final result. When all parties collaborate, the project truly flourishes.
5. What motivates you as a technical architect? What do you think still needs to be recognized about your profession?
What motivates me is seeing how every technical decision directly impacts the final quality of a project. Turning a drawing into something tangible and coherent is truly rewarding.
Regarding recognition, there are still those who think we just “supervise the construction.” But in reality, we’re the ones who prevent problems, provide solutions, and ensure constructive coherence. Making this visible is the right way forward.
Technique as the foundation for success in Tarimatec projects
