Harmony between nature and technology
Tarimatec products focus on technological innovation together with sustainability. They thus represent a perfect harmony between nature and technology.
Sustainability
Plasticwood®, the raw material used by Tarimatec, is composed, to a large extent, of recovered plant fibres (rice shells); which do not come from logging, but from the by-products of cereal crops, which has a positive impact on the environment.
Moreover, all the components of the Tarimatec product range are 100% recyclable. Some of them are produced 100% from recycled materials, some of those even from sea beds. This makes Tarimatec an eco-sostenible alternative to the use of tropical wood, thus contributing to the non-deterioration of the environment.

Tarimatec, in addition to bearing in mind the sustainability of the planet, not only because of the recyclability of its products, but also by using recycled materials, is committed to energy efficiency, by creating a line of products that contribute to reducing the heat island effect. This, in turn, offers an SRI above 80, thus favouring the possibility of obtaining a good score in the LEED certification.

Our commitment to sustainability is demonstrated by the imminent drafting and certification of Environmental Product Declarations or EPD® , based on ISO 14025 y EN 15804 standards, for our Tarimatec product range. These documents will be available on the Environdec® database.

Thus, and in parallel fashion, work is ongoing to shortly have the Environmental Product Declarations for our whole Tarimatec range, which will be available at GBCe or Green Building Council España. These product declarations will reflect the contributions each of them make to the LEED, BREAM and GREEN certifications for buildings that require so.
