Cookie policy

General information

In compliance with the amendment to the “Information Society Services Law” (LSSICE) introduced by Royal Decree 13/2012, it is mandatory to obtain the express consent of users on all websites that use non-essential cookies before they begin browsing the site.

What are cookies?

Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels are tools used by web servers to store and retrieve information about their visitors, as well as to ensure the proper functioning of the website.

These devices allow the web server to remember certain user data, such as their preferences for viewing the pages on that server, usernames and passwords, the products they are most interested in, and so on.

Cookies subject to regulation and exempt cookies

According to the EU directive, cookies that require the user’s informed consent are analytical cookies, advertising cookies and affiliate cookies. Exempt from this requirement are technical cookies and those strictly necessary for the operation of the website or for the provision of services explicitly requested by the user.

What types of cookies are there?

By ownership

  • First-party cookies: These cookies are sent to the user’s terminal device from a server or domain managed by the website publisher, from which the service requested by the user is provided.
  • Third-party cookies: These cookies are sent to the user’s terminal device from a server or domain not managed by the website publisher, but by another entity that processes the data collected through the cookies.

By duration

  • Session cookies: These cookies are designed to collect and store data while the user is browsing a website.
  • Persistent cookies: These cookies remain on the device and can be accessed and processed for a specific period set by the cookie manager, which can range from a few minutes to several years.

By functionality

  • Necessary cookies: These are essential for the website to function properly. They do not collect any personal user data and store information such as language preferences or whether the cookie policy has been accepted.
  • Analytical cookies: These cookies, whether managed by us or by third parties, allow us to quantify the number of users and perform statistical analysis of how users interact with the services provided. They are used to analyse browsing behaviour on our website in order to improve our product and service offerings.
  • Advertising or marketing cookies: These cookies manage advertising spaces in the most efficient way possible on a website, application or platform from which the requested service is provided, based on criteria such as the content displayed or the frequency with which ads are shown.
  • Behavioural advertising or personalised marketing cookies: These cookies manage advertising spaces in the most efficient way possible on a website, application or platform from which the requested service is provided. They store information about users’ behaviour, gathered through continuous observation of their browsing habits, enabling the creation of a specific profile to display advertising tailored to it. It is also possible that when you visit a website or open an email containing an advertisement or promotion related to our products or services, a cookie may be installed in your browser. This enables us to later display advertising related to your browsing history, and to monitor our advertising campaigns in terms of frequency, display location, viewing times and more.
