With the 60th edition of CASA DECOR set to begin on 3 April 2025, at Tarimatec we would like to take a look back at our past contributions to this landmark event in the world of design and interiors.
Casa Decor 2022: “The Greening Room”
In 2022, we collaborated with PIA Paisajismo to present “The Greening Room” – a space that transformed a terrace into an urban oasis, showcasing the growing trend of biophilic design. Our exterior-grade material, made largely from rice husk from the Valencian rice fields, took centre stage in this project, demonstrating the versatility and sustainability of our product line. We also incorporated microcement finishes at the entrance and sides of the terrace, creating a harmonious and natural environment.
Casa Decor 2023: “Arrozal Urbano” and the Best Integrated Product Award
In 2023, we once again partnered with Jaime Rumeu Santías and Silvia Sanchís of PIA Paisajismo to present “Arrozal Urbano”, located in the courtyard of the building at Calle Serrano 92. This design transported visitors to a Valencian rice field, highlighting the main component of our material #EcofiberStoneComposite, made from rice husk.
The versatility of our materials made it possible to create shaded areas with pergolas, wall cladding, durable flooring and even custom furniture. Our products, 100% recyclable, were reused after the exhibition, reducing CO₂ emissions and minimising the carbon footprint thanks to their local origin.
This effort was recognised with the Best Integrated Product Award at Casa Decor 2023, underscoring our ongoing commitment to technological innovation and sustainability.
Casa Decor 2024: “Lanai Restaurant & Lifestyle”
In 2024, we collaborated with the talented interior designer Adriana Nicolau to bring to life “Lanai Restaurant & Lifestyle”. This space became the official restaurant of CASA DECOR, operated by Rosewood Hotel Group, offering guests a culinary experience in a setting that reflected our sustainable design philosophy.
With its fresh, natural atmosphere, functional furniture, soft textiles and timber panelling, the space created an elegant and contemporary environment that was warmly received by visitors.
Looking ahead to Casa Decor 2025
This year, for the 60th edition of Casa Decor, we are excited to once again collaborate with PIA Paisajismo, led by Jaime Rumeu and Silvia Sanchís.
Together, we are preparing a space that fuses nature and sustainable design in an innovative way. While we can’t reveal all the details just yet, we are confident it will surprise and delight all who visit.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Casa Decor for the opportunity to take part in such an influential national event in the world of interiors and design.
These experiences have allowed us to demonstrate how design and sustainability can work hand in hand to create innovative, environmentally respectful spaces. At Tarimatec, we remain fully committed to excellence and ecological responsibility, inspired by the path we’ve travelled and motivated to continue contributing to the world of sustainable design and architecture.
